House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.
If requesting a home visit, then if possible please call before 11am. The reception staff will ask you for a phone number and details of your request.
A doctor will then phone you back to assess your problem, as it may be that your request can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a district nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance. Should a visit from a doctor be necessary, then the doctor will advise you of this and the approximate time of the visit.
Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the surgery.
